CMI Winter Meeting

8th Annual Forum for Students and Early Career Researchers

This year the meeting format has changed. Most notably, the poster session has been moved to the second meeting day during an extended lunch. The meeting will wrap up on Thursday with an early afternoon plenary followed by the awards for best oral presentations and posters.

$150 – Registration is open until January 9. Late registrations will not be accepted. 

No refunds will be issued after January 9. Beginning January 10, registrations can only be transferred to another attendee by emailing Maureen Allen.

The fee includes lunch on Wednesday and Thursday. Lunch per diem cannot be claimed on travel expense reports for those days.

  • The submission deadline is Monday, December 12
  • Acceptance notifications and instructions will be emailed by Monday, December 19
  • Oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes, including the Q&A
  • Posters must be portrait format (vertical) and cannot exceed 48” tall by 36” wide

The meeting showcases the work of current CMI students and early career researchers (0-3 years only). If you are in this group, you are encouraged to submit an abstract for an oral presentation or a poster, limited to one. Please note that PIs are not eligible to present on behalf of their students or researchers. 

Some meeting attendees are not covered by a non-disclosure agreement. Information must be kept at a high level to avoid disclosure of unprotected intellectual property (IP). If you are unsure about what constitutes IP, consult your project lead. 

CMI reserves the right to limit the number of presentations due to time and space constraints.

By rental car, taxi or ride-share allow 45-60 minutes to and from Denver International Airport during non-rush hours.

By RTD transit allow up to two hours. At the airport, take the A-line train to Union Station. (Airport/regional day pass $10.50) Walk underground 2 blocks to the W-line light rail to Golden, Jefferson County Government station (last stop). Service is every 30 minutes. At the Golden station, take the green flex-ride bus (free with the airport day pass) or book a ride-share to campus. (10-15 min)
